Did you hear me? I hope so. So here’s a story..
I began my photography journey in the dark room. I developed my own images, worked on my techniques and tried to turn that negative image into a work of art. Because of the digital age, I’ve traded that darkroom for Lightroom. No more, God I hope I got that shot off that 36 images of film to knowing I captured that perfect memory for you. There is ONE thing I do miss about the darkroom… the printed image.
The downside to the digital age is that studies show that less than 50% of people actually print their images. This is to include photographer photos, the ones on your phone, your tablet etc. Those great memories are stuck there. Yes, you can upload into the cloud or back them up to an external but what happens when that fails? What happens when you lose your phone? Those sweet memories are just gone. Your photo documented family history just went POOF!
I’m going to say it again. PRINT THOSE IMAGES.

In my parents house, there hangs two images of my great great grandparents. Lord knows I’m old, but not old enough to have ever met either one of them. The resemblance to my brother and I is uncanny and to put faces to two people that loved each other and help pave the path to our existence is priceless.
So, when placing an order, think about your great great grandchildren, though many of you may not be around by then. Give the precious gift of prints of your family history to them because I can guarantee your phone won’t be around to scroll through.
